Clarkson, who has had to deal with the loss of her ex-Man Brandon Blackstock, found comfort in the words of Richie.
Richie explained that grief is a real and uncontrollable emotion that cannot be rehearsed. “It’s a real moment when you can’t call it, but at the same time we rehearse things. You can’t rehearse,” he said.
Clarkson agreed and added that grief “gets into waves.” Richie also shared that, when dealing with uncontrollable sadness, he releases and looks at it from his true self.

After she had responded to his words with a short, squeaking expletive, jumped up Richie and put his hand on her forehead and said, “Wait a minute, I can save you, don’t worry”. Clarkson started laughing, threw her hands in the air and explained, “I feel healed.”
