Lisa Rinna loves having cosmetic procedures done, but she also regrets it.
In her recently published memoir says You better believe I’m gonna talk about it, Rinna opened up about having one skin injected prior to the 2024 Fashion Trust Awards in Beverly Hills, which she is now complaining about.
Sharing insight into how it actually happened, she wrote: “I went to someone to get some Botox and the esthetician said to me, ‘I have this SKINVIVE, it’s brand new – you’re going to love it! You put it on your face and it will act like it doesn’t add any volume, it just gives you a glow.'”
After listening to compelling details, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum gave her approval to the procedure, which was only performed around her cheeks.
However, things started to get worse for her when her “cheeks ‘suddenly’ looked like a squirrel gathering nuts” and she thought it might be an allergy.
The disappointing results were made worse when she had the procedure just days after getting Botox in her jaw to correct her jaw joint.
“Well, the combination of the Botox atrophying my jawline and SKINVIVE giving me volume left me looking jagged,” Rinna noted.
Her appearance at the Fashion Trust Awards in April 2024 received severe reactions. She wrote, “Everyone posted my photo because my face looked different,” so much so that influencers made videos comparing her before and after the procedure.
“Everyone was so mean about it. I was all over TikTok and on every damn doctor site,” said the Dancing with the stars alum mentioned.
Continued criticism caused Rinna to “immediately” reverse SKINVIVE, returning her face to its previous state within days.
“Oh my God. It was really humiliating because I knew it looked horrible. Luckily I’m an old battleaxe at this point and I can take it,” she wrote.
It’s important to note that SKINVIVE is “a gel implant or dermal filler that is injected into specific areas of facial tissue to add definition or reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles,” according to the FDA.
