Lizzo and her boyfriend, Myke Wright, turned heads in Los Angeles during a rare red carpet appearance, stepping out together for the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala on November 8.
The evening marked a special moment for the couple, who usually keep their relationship out of the public spotlight.
Lizzo, born Melissa Jefferson, chose a sparkling black dress paired with matching heels for the event.
She kept her accessories simple and wore minimal jewelry, accented by a diamond choker.
Wright coordinated her understated look, appearing in a full Gucci outfit, complete with suit jacket, loafers and tinted sunglasses, giving the pair a sleek, polished presence on the carpet.
The outing was only their second red carpet moment this year, following an appearance at the Vanity fair Oscars party in March.
Even though the world first heard about their romance in 2022, Lizzo has shared that they go way back. Speaking of Jake Shane Therapus podcast in May, she revealed that their relationship started as friendship while working together on an MTV show.
“I had a friends-to-lovers trope,” she said, explaining that she worked in music, while Wright provided comedy on set.
At the time, she just thought, “He’s my best friend.” Their bond grew closer over the years and the two officially started dating in 2021, although they waited a year before making their relationship public.
Lizzo said it felt good to take things slowly.
Describing how meaningful their bond became, she said, “We had a crazy connection for years, and I love that we were friends first. That means we can talk about anything.”
Their performance at the Baby2Baby Gala was another beautiful reminder of how far they have come: a committed relationship built on friendship, patience and trust.
