Danny Ramirez will not return in ‘The Last of Us’ season 3

The last of us has become one of HBO’s most-watched programs. Since season two ended on a cliffhanger, the latest update would only increase fans’ expectations.

Danny Ramirez, who plays Manny, will not return for season three. Instead, his role will be recast. The reason for this change is a scheduling conflict.

His character is an ex-Fireflies member and friend of Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever. He helps her get revenge on Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, for killing the staff at the hospital that will perform surgery on Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, in season one.

In addition The last of usDanny will appear in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, having previously played Joaquin Torres, or Falcon, in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021, as well as reprising his role in the 2025 film Captain America: Brave New World.

Meanwhile, the release date of season three has not yet been announced, but it is expected to release in 2027.

“The Last of Us picks up twenty years after modern civilization was destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone,” according to the series’ logline.

“What starts as a small job quickly becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey as they both must cross the US and depend on each other for survival,” the synopsis adds.
