Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was a threat. Critics loved her performance, while fans were stunned by the way the actor turned into an agent of chaos.
But the twist is that she wasn’t a fan of the comic book character when she first read about her.
Robbie got candid in a throwback interview, saying: “When I first read it I thought, ‘I have nothing in common with her. I hate her. It was really hard to figure it out.’
“But her motivation was, ‘You guys are doing it, why shouldn’t I? It’s this man’s world, and I’m going to get mine.’ And I understand that,” she said Fashion.
In the same interview, Robiie said she enjoyed tackling challenging projects. She gave the example of her film, 2018 Terminal.
“We chose the most challenging indie film you can imagine; it’s not commercially viable from a financier’s point of view,” she said.
“It shaves years off my life. It’s really hard work, but so rewarding and much more powerful than just acting. I started to feel like a little pawn being moved around the board: ‘Go here!’ Do that! Be her!”
Meanwhile, Robbie’s most recent film, Wuthering Heightsis out.
