Pakistan’s white head coach, Mike Hesson, said on Thursday that the green shirts are willing to face a high -voltage Asia Cup 2025 against arch -rival India, which is played in Dubai on Sunday.
With a press conference in Dubai International Cricket Stadium prior to the Pakistan match against Oman on 12 September, Hesson called the Pakistan-India match “one of the biggest glasses in World Cricket.”
“I have looked at many of these games from far, whether as a coach or commentator. In the middle of such a very charged event, the key is to keep everyone focused on work,” Hesson told reporters.
Hesson recognized India’s recent dominance and said: “India is enormously confident and rightly so, but we are focused on improving as a team day after day. We look forward to the challenge, not afraid of.”
About pitch conditions, Hesson said that Dubai offers very different challenges than Sharjah: “We have many multi-skilled players, five quality spinners, including Mohammad Nawaz Die now the best spin-bowler in the world is and a strong tempo attack. We have the balance to adapt to any surface.”

The Pakistan-India match came during raised political and border voltages between the two countries after the border in May, so that Sunday’s game was not only a cricket match, but a matter of pride for millions of fans on both sides.
