Miley Cyrus reveals how music helped her heal after a major loss

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her experiences writing music for the new Avatar film.

According to the singer who writes music for Avatar: Fire and Ashes helped her heal from a great loss.

In an interview with VarietyCyrus admitted that writing song Dream as one partly inspired by her own loss of home during a 2018 forest fire.

She said: “It’s literally part of my life. Losing my house, rebuilding from the ground up, having a real resilience, like Phoenix…”

Cyrus continued, “Living through it is the only way to fully understand what everyone is going through. And even if you’ve been through it yourself, everyone has such a unique experience with loss.”

“With my house, I had lived there for five years, and there are people who have lived in their house for 50 years. Everything they ever had, every photo, everything that ever had an emotional feeling to them, is gone,” Cyrus added. “Every time I put something that I’ve experienced out there that can help other people, it really is the medicine in music. It’s the truest healer.”

On the other hand, Miley Cyrus also previously revealed that her Malibu mansion has finally been rebuilt after seven years.

“I’ve been working on rebuilding. I lost my house in the Woolsey Fire and have been rebuilding for five years now. It looks like it will all be done for me in the next few weeks,” she told Pamela Anderson in an interview for CR Fashion Book.

Avatar: Fire and Ashes was released on December 18 and features the Flowers singer’s powerful song Dream as one.
