Musk praises Ronaldo for winning the ‘Best Player in Middle East Award’ for 2025

Elon Musk congratulates Cristiano Ronaldo for achieving “Best Player in the Middle East for the year 2025” after CR7 was recognized at the 16th Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on December 28, 2025.

Despite not having won any team championships or team titles with Al Nassr, a nod did not go unnoticed since the Portuguese star ended the season with an individual award for the best player in the Middle East.

The jury appreciated his individual performance at Al Nassr, where he stood out for his goals and influenced many both on and off the field.

The award was presented at the annual ceremony in Dubai where players, coaches and clubs were honored for their achievements throughout the year, reports BBC.

The football legend received the Best Player Award in the presence of senior officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Since joining Saudi football, Ronaldo has continued to break personal records and maintain a high level of consistency.

Although collective successes eluded him, fueling debate around the award, X owner Elon Musk appreciated his achievements by sharing a “sweet trophy” gesture on Instagram.

It’s not the first time Musk has appreciated the GOAT; he seems to be a Ronaldo fan as he always congratulates him and encourages him to achieve more.

Ronaldo has now won the ‘Best Player in the Middle East’ award for the third consecutive year, which is a great testament to his continued excellence.

Former Manchester United (Man Utd) legend Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League in 2023.

The striker said in November 2025 that the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico will be his last international tournament.

Well, the 40-year-old football champion shows no signs of slowing down and promised that “I will reach 1,000 goals” as he already has 956 goals for the club in his career.

“My passion is high and I want to continue. It doesn’t matter where I play, whether it is in the Middle East or Europe. I always enjoy playing football and I want to continue,” Ronaldo said after receiving the award.
