The man recently taken into custody and being investigated for any connection to Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping has finally come forward to tell his story.
The man was taken into custody with his mother and recently began pointing out his lack of similarities with the kidnapper who captured Nancy Guthrie, the mother of the Today Show host.
For those not in the know, the event in question took place at her home in Foothills, Arizona, on February 1, 2026. She was last seen on Saturday, January 31, while going to church and was eventually reported missing the very next day.
Cursing glances from police confirmed the presence of blood on the porch, and even her call camera caught a man walking around her house.

As of now, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, with assistance also being offered by the FBI. But what is even more relevant to mention regarding her health and well-being is that her pacemaker app was disconnected from 2:30 am on the same day.
The family has even offered a $1 million reward for anyone with information that could lead to her recovery.
However, after rounds of interrogation, it is their neighbor and prime suspect who has since spoken out about True Crime Ariona with Briana Whitney.
The man in question is named Luke Daley, 37, and it was he and his 77-year-old mother who were investigated due to its proximity to Guthrie’s home, which Just Jared reports is about two miles away.
In his nearly 14-minute clip, he is able to clarify his innocence, saying, “It’s not me. I don’t see the resemblance that it looks like me. Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case. Somebody says something and then they just walk away based on no evidence, no truth.”
