Oasis planning greatest-hits album as reunion tour ends

Oasis are planning a greatest hits album as their reunion tour ends

Oasis are reportedly exploring plans for a new greatest hits album!

The band’s comeback performances ended in front of 60,000 fans in São Paulo on Sunday night and sources say discussions about the record focused on talks about possible next steps – including a revived compilation project and further large-scale shows.

The Oasis tour featured Noel Gallagher, his brother Liam Gallagher and guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, marking the group’s first joint appearances in over a decade.

According to The sunplans for a new Oasis greatest hits collection follow Noel’s previously shelved attempt to put together a post-2000 compilation, but Liam was against the idea.

In a 2023 interview, Noel said: “He wouldn’t have it in the end, I don’t know why.”

But reports now suggest that revisiting the project is one of several proposals being considered following the success of the tour.

The insider said: “Noel and Liam will both be taking a long break to calculate the scale of this tour. It’s been incredible for them both to be back on stage together, and having guitarist Bonehead back with them for the final shows has been nothing short of phenomenal.”

“They are aware of what their fans want and know that the demand would be there if they decided to release a new Greatest Hits album, or play more shows,” they concluded of Oasis’ plans.
