Olivia Rodrigo just marked a major career milestone as she celebrates five years of her breakout hit driver’s license.
To mark a special celebration, Rodrigo dropped a special surprise for her fans on January 8, 2026.
The singer has unveiled a new cover version of the song from Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, along with a special vinyl edition of the song.
Rodrigo wrote on Instagram on Thursday: “Happy 5 years of driver’s license!!!”
She further wrote, “When I look back at these photos I feel like I look like a baby but it also feels like yesterday lol. This song totally changed my life in ways I still can’t quite wrap my head around.”
“I am forever grateful for this magical chapter and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life screaming red stop signs with you at every concert I play!” Rodrigo wrote in closing: “happy birthday DL.”
Moreover, Olivia Rodrigo also shared some behind-the-scenes photos of the driver’s license music video.
One clip showed the singer screaming as the song played on the radio in her car. Meanwhile, a photo showed a party card from her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series family.
