Luke Hemsworth says it won’t be easy working with his famous brothers Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth.
The 45-year-old actor also gave an explanation for it when he recently opened up about the matter in a new interview. “I’d really like to do something,” Luke said E! News, when asked if he would like to collaborate with his younger brothers. “We’ve talked about it a lot. I think we all just have to find the right project.”
However, he pointed out that timing would be the biggest obstacle to putting them on camera together. “We have to make sure Chris is booked about two years in advance,” he joked, laughing. “He is in incredible demand.”
Luke, who already starred in a project with the youngest brother, Liam, in Land of Badsaid he was hopeful that a collaboration between all three brothers could also eventually happen if the right opportunity presented itself.
“So if anyone wants to write something, please come to us,” he added.
The Shooter star, who shares daughters Holly, 16, Ella, 15, and Harper, 13, as well as son Alexandre, 12, with wife Samantha Hemsworth, also said his children have “all shown some sort of interest” in acting.
However, Luke said he wasn’t ready to let his children share the spotlight just yet. “The youngest keeps telling me she wants to be an actor and I try to discourage it as much as possible,” he admitted.
In his defense, he wants them to gain more life experience before pursuing a career in the industry.
“I want them to do what they want to do. I want them to be happy. And if that’s what makes them happy, then that’s great,” he continued. “But I also want them to gain some more life experience.”
The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film Beastwhich will be released on April 10, in which he stars alongside Russell Crowe.
Beast is an MMA action drama that surrounds the life of Patton James (Daniel MacPherson), a former champion turned fisherman who must give up retirement to save his younger brother, who is in danger. James is reunited with his old coach (Russell Crowe) and faces a brutal title holder (Bren Foster) to repay his inheritance and ensure his family’s safety.
