Paul Preece Jr., who won the first season of the Netflix survival competition series Surviveshas been arrested in Tennessee on suspicion of multiple sex crimes, including the alleged rape of a child.
Jail records from the Knox County Jail show the 51-year-old was arrested on March 6 and charged with rape of a child, aggravated sexual arousal and attempted rape of a child. Page six reported.
Preece is currently being held on a $150,000 bond. He previously took part in the debut season of Survives in 2023, a survival reality show where participants compete in the remote Alaskan wilderness for a $1 million prize.
The series begins with 16 participants being parachuted into the region’s harsh autumn conditions, where they are divided into teams and must rely on each other to survive. Unlike many competition shows, contestants cannot compete alone, although teams can be reduced to just two members.
Contestants may change teams during the competition and there will be no eliminations by voting. The only way to leave the game is to quit.
Preece ultimately won the first season along with teammates Seth Lueker and Nick Radner. The series was renewed for a third season in February 2025.
