Islamabad: Pakistan and Palestine have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in the health sector, said the Ministry of National Health Services on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed by the Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on behalf of Pakistan, while the Palestinian ambassador represented his government during the ceremony.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, De MOU has been designed to improve cooperation in advanced medical areas, professional training and joint research. The move is expected to create long -term roads for strengthening health care systems in both countries.
Minister Kamal announced that a Pakistan -Palestine Health Working Group will be founded within the next 30 days. This body will supervise the implementation of the MOU and ensure that agreed initiatives are implemented effectively.
He explained that cooperation will cover a broad spectrum of medical specialties. These include interventional cardiology, organ transplantation, orthopedic surgery, endoscopic ultrasound, burn treatment and plastic surgery.
Pakistan will also help Palestine in strengthening expertise in infectious diseases, ophthalmology, pharmaceutical products and medical research. Training options for Palestinian health workers at the most important medical institutions of Pakistan are part of the plan.
“The aim of this agreement is to promote closer cooperation to improve the health and well -being of the people of both fraternal countries,” Kamal said. “The hearts of the people of Pakistan defeated Palestine, and we are ready to help our Palestinian brothers and sisters in every possible way.”
The Palestinian ambassador welcomed the initiative and expanded the Pakistan government. He noted that Palestine greatly appreciates the non -repellent support of Pakistan in political, humanitarian and now medical atmospheres.
“Palestine and Pakistan are fraternal countries. Together we will work for improving the health and well -being of our peoples,” he noticed.
Officials emphasized that the agreement is not limited to symbolic gestures, but is a practical route map for cooperation. By enabling the exchange of knowledge and expertise, it is expected to go directly to the health care sector of both countries.
De Mou emphasizes Pakistan’s consistent support for Palestine and extends it further than politics to the vital domain of public health. Both countries again confirmed their shared dedication to work as long -term partners in promoting medical science and improving patient care.
