Dubai: Pakistan faces India in a long-awaited Asia Cup Super Four match today in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Head coach Mike Hesson and Captain Salman Ali Agha have devised a game plan that focuses on the use of fast bowling to tackle the Indian Batting Line -up, rather than trusting spider this time.

After he had lost through seven wickets in India in their previous group A, Pakistan decided to make two changes to the XI game that triumphed over the United Arab Emirates (VAE).

Sources indicate that the young Slagman Hassan Nawaz and Khushdil Shah are probably sidelined for today’s game.

Van Faheem Ashraf is expected to make a comeback, while Hussain Talat will probably also play his first game of the Asia Cup 2025.

The team management has nominated 12 players for the first Super Four match of Pakistan against India. However, Khushdil Shah, who was admitted instead of Fahraf for the match against the VAE, is unlikely that the last XI will make the last XI.

Pakistan probably plays XI:

Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha (Captain), Mohammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Haris (Wicketkeeper), Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.

Earlier on Saturday, Pakistan met Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi team members during the practice session in the Dubai Sports City Academy Round.

In the meantime, Andy Pycroft remains the leader as a match referee for the Dubai-Been, despite the question of Pakistan into a full investigation into last week’s handshake.
