Paris Jackson shared one of the harmful effects drug abuse had on her body in a recent video on social media.
Michael Jackson’s 27-year-old daughter admitted that she had a hole in her nose due to drug use.
“I never realized that I never addressed this and it can be very noticeable at times,” Jackson began.
“I have a very loud whistle because you can hear it when I breathe through my nose, and that’s because I have what’s called a perforated septum.”
While speaking in a clip reposted by a TikTok fan account on Sunday, the singer gave her fans a glimpse of the condition by shining her cell phone flashlight on her nostril, revealing an illuminated tunnel between the nostrils visible in the video.
For context, a perforated septum is a hole in the tissue in the center of the nose that separates the nostrils, also called the septum, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
It can also be caused by overuse of nasal steroid sprays, injuries, exposure to certain industrial chemicals, autoimmune diseases and even tumors. However, Jackson ended her video with a warning to children: “Don’t do drugs, kids.”
