Park Bom, the popular South Korean singer, recently made shocking claims against YG entertainment’s producer Yang Hyun-suk.
The 41-year-old rose to fame after joining a famous South Korean girl group called 2NE1.
YG entertainment has been the girl band’s record label since 2009.
But according to Bom’s latest allegations, she was entitled to unpaid profits from her years with 2NE1 amounting to ₩64.272 trillion KRW, or approximately $4.5 trillion USD, a figure that exceeds South Korea’s entire GDP several times over.
However, all of these allegations are widely misinterpreted online, and it has taken a toll on Park’s health.
On October 24, the singer’s agency released an official statement regarding her health.
They revealed that Bom is currently in an unstable condition and she needs immediate treatment.
“This is D-NATION Entertainment. First, we sincerely apologize for any concerns caused by Park Bom’s recent personal post on social media.”
The company wrote: “Park Bom is currently in a very emotionally unstable state and is having difficulty communicating. She is in urgent need of treatment and rest to aid her recovery.”
“As her post has been widely circulated on social media, it has been misinterpreted in a way that does not reflect the facts, causing unnecessary misunderstandings.”
Boom’s agency reported that the misunderstandings had not only affected the Korean singer, but also her family.
They requested people not to simply spread her message on social media.
“We also respectfully request that members of the media avoid further reporting on this matter,” Park’s office concluded the statement.
