Petition to strip Blake Lively of ‘It Ends With Us’ PGA credit gains massive support

Justin Baldoni’s supporters are celebrating what they call his victory against Blake Lively after a federal judge on Thursday dismissed Lively’s sexual harassment claims in her lawsuit against him.

The decision has significantly narrowed her case over the film adaptation of their 2024 romantic drama ‘It Ends With Us’.

Meanwhile, an online petition to revoke ‘Blake Lively’s PGA credit for the film ‘It Ends With Us’ has collected more than 18,000 signatures.

The petition, which had just 1,900 signatures as of January 2026, began gaining momentum after a US judge unsealed court documents containing her text messages with Taylor Swift about conversations about Justin Baldoni.

Petition to strip Blake Lively of It Ends With Us PGA credit receives massive support

Baldoni and “It Ends With Us” producer Jamey Heath’s letter of recommendation to the Producers Guild of America (PGA) on behalf of Blake Lively was once again in the spotlight after Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s text was made public in January.

According to some industry experts, the PGA’s producer credit reportedly affects prestige and eligibility for awards such as Oscars and Golden Globes.

During the trial between Lively and Baldoni, internal communications suggested the letter was written under duress.

Below is the full text of the petition launched on change.org:

“Justin Baldoni, a dedicated visionary, has worked tirelessly to bring It Ends With Us to life, a project that is deeply meaningful to him. From securing the rights to directing every phase of development, he has been the true driving force behind this adaptation. His dedication, passion and leadership have been the foundation of this film’s journey.

However, a serious misstep occurred when Blake Lively was given the honor of Produced By, an award she did not rightly earn. This unfair recognition not only diminishes Baldoni’s immense contributions, but also highlights a troubling trend in the industry: rewarding influence over genuine effort. Instead of celebrating those who shape and build a project, success is wrongly attributed to individuals seeking personal gain, even at the cost of undermining others.

Perpetuating such a falsehood damages the integrity of filmmaking and disrespects the essence of what it means to be a producer. It is imperative to reassess this decision and uphold the standards that the Producers Guild of America represents. We urge the PGA to reevaluate their criteria and revoke Blake Lively’s Produced By credit on It Ends With Us.

This isn’t just about one movie! It’s about protecting the sanctity of recognizing real contributions and ensuring that any honor bestowed reflects earned merit, not misplaced privilege. Support us and demand justice and fairness in filmmaking. Sign the petition to restore integrity to an industry built on hard work, not cronyism.”
