Priscilla Presley has shared intimate details about her relationship with Robert Kardashian, the deceased lawyer and father of Kim Kardashian, in her new book, Soft, as I leave you: life after Elvis.
In the book, Presley remembers a certain night when Elvis called her at 2 o’clock, not knowing that she was at Kardashian. “It was not crossed [Elvis’] Make sure I may have slept. He certainly never came up with him that I could be with another man, “wrote Presley.
She remembers that she jumped out of bed and grabbed the phone before waking up Kardashian, who was a healthy sleeper. She went to the hallway to the guest room and closed the door to listen to Elvis’s famous voice.
“Elvis always wore a charged gun, sometimes more than one,” Presley noted, adding that Elvis would have become ballistic if he had known that Kardashian was in her bedroom.
Presley and Kardashian date about a year, but eventually broke up because of their different goals.
“Robert wanted to get married, but I knew it wouldn’t work. I wasn’t ready to get married again,” said Presley. Despite them, they remained friends, and Presley spoke very much about Kardashian and called him ‘the friendliest men’.
Before the death of Kardashian in 2003, Presley had a final conversation with him while he was in the hospital that his daughter Kim organized. “He was the friendliest men and I remember him with great affection,” said Presley.
