Pushing daisies returns to TV screens!
Bryan Fuller, the creator of the comedy-drama, confirmed that a new sequel is in the works.
The American writer shared the exciting news during a press tour for his latest film, Fabric bunny.
“Absolutely, we have a pitch for season three,” Bryan responded Comic book when asked about the possibility of the comedy-drama returning to TV screens.
He further told the outlet that “the entire cast wants to come back, and we hope we can get back to them.”
“We just have to find someone who wants to make it,” the writer added.
For those who are not at home, Pushing daisies premiered on the ABC network in 2007 and ran for two seasons.
Lee Pace played the lead role in the mystery fantasy series – a pie maker who can bring the dead back to life.
In addition to Lee, the series starred Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth, Chi McBride, Swoosie Kurtz and Ellen Greene.
During the same press trip, Bryan said The Maria Sue that “We’re working on a season 3, and the whole cast wants to come back. And we have a whole story. We’re trying to do another season this year.”
Both seasons of Pushing daisies can be viewed on HBO Max.
