Riz Ahmed’s mother is proud of her son!
During a recent chat with People, the 43-year-old British-Pakistani actor revealed that even four years after his Oscar win, his mother still cherishes Riz’s milestone.
And she kept his award safe, along with her prized possessions.
In fact, he presented her with the trophy himself the night he won.
‘I immediately went to hand it to my mother. She gets the first crack at that kind of thing,” he told the outlet as he reflected on the 2022 Academy Awards night.
“I actually haven’t seen it in a while, so I hope she knows where it is because I don’t,” he jokingly revealed.
For those unfamiliar, Riz and filmmaker Aneil Karia won the Oscar for Live Action Short Film for their work in “The Long Goodbye.”
Riz revealed why his mother kept it and shared his habit of throwing things away.
“She doesn’t like me rearranging her stuff. It’s a very complicated plan. She hid it in a place where I don’t know, just so I don’t throw any of the stuff away. Maybe I’ll throw away a box it’s in or something,” he explained.
