Rob Reiner’s daughter Tracy Reiner has broken her silence and revealed she saw her father at a family gathering just a day before his brutal death.
The 61-year-old American actress, the adoptive daughter of the late American film director, producer, screenwriter, actor and political activist, spoke to NBC News about the death of her famous father and his wife, Michele Reiner.
She said: “I come from the best family ever. I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
Tracy went on to say that she met her late father at a family gathering just a day before his murder on December 14, 2025.
Rob adopted Tracy during his marriage to Penny Marshall, the late American actress, producer and director.
Penny welcomed the Apollo 13 star with her ex-husband Henry, whom she married in 1963 and parted ways in 1967.
For those who don’t know, Rob and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025.
Following the death of his parents, their son Nick Reiner was first questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division and is now in custody on suspicion of murdering his parents.
PEOPLE magazine previously reported that multiple sources claimed that Nick murdered his parents, Rob and Michele, with apparent stab wounds, while the couple’s daughter, Romy, found them lifeless.
