Robert Patrick Reveals Whether Davey Killed Tony in ‘The Sopranos’ Finale

Robert Patrick responds to fan theories about his character Davey Scatino killing James Gandolfini’s crime boss Tony Soprano in the finale of The sopranos.

The theory arose when fans noticed someone who looked like Davey in the background of a dinner scene. The finale left fans guessing about the future of the crime boss as the screen faded to black.

Patrick revealed that showrunner David Chase never told him anything like that.

“I feel blessed that people would still think about my character at the end,” Patrick told TV Insider. “But boy, what an amazing experience.”

The X files actor played Davey for three episodes in season 2, where Tony tricked him into losing a serious amount of money in a poker game and cheating his company on the payback. Davey then left for Nevada after his company went bankrupt and his family left him.

The Tulsa King The star previously revealed that he used Gandolfini’s line from The Sopranos in the new Sylvester Stallone-led show to pay tribute to him.

He remembered Gandolfini asking him, “How are your balls?” before beating him up on screen, causing Patrick to “scare the living…”.

In Tulsa KingPatrick’s crime boss Jeremiah Dunmire says he’ll have to compete with “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) in Season 3.

“The crossover from Sopranos to Tulsa King, the fans are there,” he said TV insider. “That’s definitely a through line. Yeah, that’s why I threw out that line: ‘How are your balls, Manfredi?'”
