Russell Crowe has reportedly crushed his longtime girlfriend Britney Theriot’s bridal dreams.
During a conversation with Joe Rogan on his podcast, the 61-year-old actor and film director rejected wedding plans with Theriot.
He said: “All these reports that Britney and I are engaged and I’m getting married again? No.”
The Gladiator star added: “My life is joyful and happy. Why would I ruin that with a wedding?”
A well-placed insider told it Radaronline that Crowe is looking forward to rekindling his relationship with ex-wife Danielle Spencer, despite dating the 42-year-old actress for the past five years.
Theriot also feels devastated as she was planning to start a family with the Oscar winner but he had denied such claims.
According to the source: “Britney was shocked. It doesn’t match what Russell told her at all – so it’s quite disturbing.”
“It’s no secret that she wants a ring on her finger, and she thought they were on the right track for that. Now that he’s done this, she’s reeling,” the source said.
Spencer and Crowe “are still very close, and many people say he still carries a torch for her. But after this sudden change of heart about getting married, she’s questioning everything.”
“Her friends are all telling her that it’s pretty suspicious that he’s letting Danielle be on this show.
“Even Danielle has come out and said that performing together was what they did when they first fell in love – so it’s hard not to let this happen,” the source concluded.
