Sabrina Carpenter is cheering on her mentor and former tourmate Taylor Swift after the superstar made music history again.
The male child singer took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, October 13, to celebrate Swift’s record-breaking No. 1 debut of her 12th studio album, The life of a showgirlwhich achieved the highest first-week sales with more than 4 million copies.
Swift, 35, acknowledged the milestone in a sweet thank-you note to her fans earlier that day. “I have 4 million thank you’s to send to the fans, and 4 million reasons to be even more proud of this album than I already was.”
Carpenter, 26, then reshared Swift’s post, adding, “Of. All. Time.” with a flurry of heart emojis, an obvious nod to calling Swift the “GOAT.”
The Espresso The hitmaker’s praise comes as Showgirl officially becomes Swift’s 15th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, surpassing both Jay-Z and Drake, trailing only The Beatles.
“I’ll never forget how excited I was in 2006 when my first album sold 40,000 copies in its first week,” Swift said. “Thank you for going out to celebrate this project… and immersing yourself in it The life of a showgirl.”
Carpenter is the only artist featured in the film Showgirlwhich appears on the title track. She also joined Swift during the Latin American, Asian and Australian legs of the Eras tour – and later surprised fans in New Orleans with a live duet of Espresso.
