Sadie Sink has opened up about the advice she shared with her youngster Stranger things co-star Nell Fisher as the Netflix turned heads towards the final.
Speak with The Hollywood ReporterSink revealed how she helped prepare Fisher, who plays Holly Wheeler, to step into a much bigger spotlight on the show.
Inspired by her own character, Max Mayfield, Sink said, “I think Max gives Holly such great advice at the end of episode six in that monologue about finding her inner strength and the hero within her, which I think comes out of Max in an unexpected way.”
She then directly praised Fisher, adding, “But for Nell specifically, she’s such a good kid. She is so confident and so wise beyond her years.”
Sink also acknowledged the weight that comes with joining a global phenomenon at a young age, noting that she made a conscious effort to support Fisher as much as possible.
“I’ve tried to prepare her as best as I can because it’s a huge show and she plays such a big role in this season, so it will definitely change things in her life, just like it did for me, just like it did for everyone involved with the show,” she said.
Reflecting on her own early days on the series, Sink emphasized how different things are now for the next generation of cast members.
“It was fun to offer that to her in any way possible because as kids we didn’t really have anyone who had gone through the same experience on the same show,” she said.
Before concluding, the actress emphasized how meaningful it was to be able to pass on guidance that she once lacked.
“It felt nice to hopefully provide some guidance or support in what it means to be a 14-year-old kid in Stranger Things.”
