Dubai: Green Shirts-Opener Sahibzada Farhan became the first Pakistani to hit Jasprit Bumrah for a six in T20is during the high-voltage collision between the arch rivals.
The moment came in the Pakistan vs India Cup collision at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium when Farhan sent Bumrah’s delivery to the third ball of the sixth.
The daring waves the ball sent backwards square leg everywhere, amazingly even India’s death Suryakumar Yadav.
Cricket -fans praised Farhan’s fearless stroke and noted that Bumrah, generally considered one of the world’s best fast bowlers, had never before admitted a six to a Pakistani percer in his international career.
Competitions between the neighbors always attract global attention, but this time there is a different sentiment-so that this is the first time they are opposite each other after the Four Days May War.
Despite the recent performance of Pakistan, the general T20i-head-to-head record is in favor of India, who won 10 out of 13 meetings. India leads 2-1 in the Asia Cup T20 format.
Their most recent meeting came during the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York, where Rohit Sharma’s India and narrowly beat Babar Azam’s Pakistan in a low scoring thriller.
