Dubai: Criticism wipes aside, Pakistan-Opener Sahibzada Farhan claimed that he is not worried about the interpretations derived from his unique celebration after registering his first T20i half century against India.
Farhan produced a great version when he scored his first T20i fifty against India in the Super Four Clash of the Acc Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Farhan reached his half century in style and skipped a six from Axar Patel on the third delivery of the 10th. After he reached the milestone, he celebrated unique and moored his bat after “Fire runs like bullets”, a gesture that made fans enthusiastic.
The innings of the right -handed Slagman include five boundaries and three sixes, with an aggressive and self -assured approach against the bowling attack of India. Social media were praise for Farhan’s performance.
During a press conference on Monday, Farhan said: “I usually do not celebrate fifties, but this time a new idea came up in me and I pronounced it differently. It was just a new style of expression.”
Farhan added that he always wants to play aggressive cricket, “even if the opponent is India.”
He further said that Pakistan wanted to be in India again in the final of the current tournament.
Looking ahead, Farhan said that Pakistan was fully prepared for their crucial collision against Sri Lanka, whom he described as a “do-or-Die” match.
He added that the whole team in the final wanted a new confrontation against India and was determined to win it.
As a result of Pakistan’s batting, he said that the rearrangement had given players in the line-up, including opener Saim Ayub, more confidence.
“We played the powerplay well, did not lose any wickets and scored freely for the first nine overs. Later the score delayed, but we work to tackle those weaknesses,” Farhan noted.
