Sam Asghari opened up about his ex-wife Britney Spears and said he wished her “the happiest” in life.
The 31-year-old actor was married to the pop icon from 2022 to 2024 and said that despite their split, he still looked back on their time together fondly.
Speak with We weeklySam said, “I just hope the happiest for her. And like I said before, I celebrate the past, and it’s a big part of me, so I think everything should go well for her.”
Since parting ways with Britney, Sam has moved on with Los Angeles real estate agent Brooke Irvine.
The couple went public with their relationship in January after being spotted together in November 2024 and he shared that things between them were “great.”
Earlier this year, Sam also revealed that he encouraged Britney to sign a prenuptial agreement before they got married to protect her finances.
While I was talking about the Trade Secrets podcast, the model explained, “I wanted her to have a prenup. I wanted to make sure she’s protected because throughout her life, everyone — I don’t know a single person that’s ever been in her life that hasn’t taken advantage of her.”
However, the music icon’s ex-husband denied ever trying to use the singer’s fame for his own gain and reminded fans that they first met as co-stars in her Slumber Party music video in 2016.
Sam added that he was no longer concerned about public opinion and said his focus was on his own growth and doing what he felt good about.
