Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t see herself playing Carrie Bradshaw anytime soon.
Sara has spoken Variety at the Golden Eve gala in Beverly Hills.
The actress confessed that she would love to reprise the fashion-obsessed character, but it depends Sex and the city creator Michael Patrick King.
“I hear a lot of very original ideas, all nice and well-intentioned and often very clever, but the only thing that really matters is what fascinates Michael Patrick King. And right now he’s just not thinking about that,” the actress said.
Sarah was honored with the Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Eve dinner and awards ceremony. She was supported by her husband Matthew Broderick and their son James Wilkie Broderick.
Her Sex and the city costars Kristen Davis, Evan Handler and David Eigenberg were also there.
She was also asked about the other projects, including the third part of the Hocus Pocus franchise.
She said, “They’re working on it,” Parker said. “Where better [Midler] going, I’m going. Bette is like a 13-year-old girl with a new bicycle. She says, ‘I have wheels, let’s travel.'”
The Family stonewhich starred the late Diane Keaton, is also in talks for a sequel, but it will be “bittersweet.”
“I’m so excited…but it’s a rather bittersweet dilemma considering the loss of Diane Keaton,” said Sarah Jessica Parker. “But it was a very special group of actors, and there had been conversations with everyone before Diane passed away, so I hope we can do that. The hardest thing is everyone’s schedules.”
