Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed an unconventional insight into her 23-year marriage to Freddie Prinze Jr.
The Resentment actress and the Head over heels alum, who tied the knot in 2002, have a simple wedding rule that has kept their marriage from going off the rails.
At the premiere of Netflix‘s show, titled Star Search, which starred Sarah as a judge, talked about the key to her and Freddie’s peaceful marriage.
“Separate bathrooms,” she declared over E! News.
She continued, “That’s what I always say.”
Chrissy Teigen, who also stars as a judge on the show, revealed a similar rule she applies in her marriage to husband John Legend.
Chrissy shared that she does everything she can to “keep it sexy and keep it sexy,” like maintaining private spaces, and that these things make all the difference.
Freddie also reflected in a conversation about keeping his bond with his wife Sarah strong Variety in July 2025.
He said: “Marriage is hard no matter what industry you are in. What works for us may not work for everyone. We are working on it.’
“I’m not perfect. She’s not perfect. We piss each other off, but we respect each other,” the actor added at the time.
