Savannah Guthrie has finally paid attention to the disappearance and possible kidnapping of her mother, Nancy Guthrie.
Taking to her Instagram on Monday, February 2, the American broadcaster and journalist expressed her gratitude to her well-wishers for their continued support and prayers.
Savannah posted a photo with “PLEASE PRAY” written on it, while writing a long caption that read, “we believe in prayer. we believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. we believe in goodness. we believe in humanity. above all, we believe in Him.”
The 54-year-old went on to express her heartfelt gratitude to her supporters: “Thank you for lifting your prayers along with ours for our beloved mother, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. Lift your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them at this time.”
Savannah then quoted a verse from the Bible: “He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast and trust in the Lord,” she wrote, “a verse from Isaiah forever and for us all.”
“Take her home,” Savannah decided.
For those who didn’t know, 84-year-old Nancy went missing on January 31, 2026. Pima County police in Arizona launched a search the next day. She was last seen at her home near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue around 9:30 p.m
On February 1, Sheriff Chris Nanos held a press conference announcing that a search and rescue mission had been launched after Savannah’s family reported her sudden disappearance.
Nanos suspects that Nancy has been kidnapped. He told NBC News: “I think she was kidnapped.”
“This is just really sad for our community. Savannah is family to us. Her family is devastated, and this just doesn’t happen here,” the sheriff joked.
