Scarlett Johansson opens about her real inspiration as a director while following in the footsteps of Robert Redford.
The 40-year-old actress, the best known for her role as Black widowrevealed that Redford inspired her to try to direct her hand after they worked together on the drama from 1998 The horse whisperer.
In an exclusive interview with ExtraJohansson expressed her admiration for the 89-year-old filmmaker.
She said to the outlet: “I remember that I saw Bob Choreograph a really complicated scene in the Rijarena. He blocked it and decided where the camera would be placed … Do him and then having this intimate conversation with me as an actor.”
She added: “I felt that it was a very interesting job, and there was a lot to do. I like that. I like to be busy with the set.”
For the unexpected, the Iron Man 2 Star made its directing debut with Eleanor the Great, With June Squibb in the lead.
Johansson described the track as a rewarding experience and shared her unfiltered thoughts about the process as a whole.
