Sebastian Maniscalco reacts to trending ‘SNL’ sketch about him

Sebastian Maniscalco breaks silence on the popular ‘SNL’ skit about him

Sabastian Maniscalco, known for his stand-up shows and sold-out comedy tours, was amazed when he was impersonated on the spot by Saturday evening live star Marcello Hernández.

In the show’s final episode, starring Glen Powell, Hernandez parodied Maniscalco as Powell’s character Dave’s old friend.

Hernandez perfectly captured the comedian’s signature mannerisms and voice, along with a gray wig to complete the look.

In the sketch, Powell played the groom-to-be who was celebrating his bachelorette party and claims to be old friends with the famous comedian. His friends are skeptical, until Hernandez bursts into the room as Maniscalco and tells exaggerated stories about everyday problems and obstacles.

Meanwhile, the other characters in sketch try to continue the party, but Hernandez keeps interrupting with ad-libs, leaving others frustrated.

His hilarious impersonation quickly caught the attention of many, including Maniscalco himself.

Taking to his Instagram, the Irish star shared the clip from SNL and praised the 28-year-old Latin American, writing: “You’ve got to be kidding me @marcellohdz @nbcsnl.”

Other commentators also couldn’t help but express how timely Hernandez’s facial expressions were.

“I love Marcello! Best skit of the night!” wrote one.

Another added: “His impression is PERFECT.”

“FINALLY A HILARIOUS SKIT,” said a third user.

The young comedian is no stranger to celebrity impressions. Since joining the hit TV show, he has parodied major artists like Bad Bunny, Benson Bone, Desi Arnaz, Tekashi 6ix9ine and many more.

Maniscalco is currently working on his hit song It’s not right tour, with shows scheduled from September 18 to May 25, 2026.
