Selena Gomez got honest about her beauty routine when a fan asked her about her grooming habits.
The Calm down singer took to her Instagram account to respond to a question about her mustache that made her laugh.
Gomez, who appeared without makeup in the video posted to her stories, said: “Someone made me laugh because they asked me, ‘How do you shave your mustache?'”
“It’s actually not that! It’s my melasma. I’m taking care of it and treating it, but yeah, no, it’s there,” she admitted.
“I totally understand,” she added, urging her followers to use sunscreen. “It comes from the sun.”
According to Cleveland Clinic, “Melasma is a skin condition characterized by brown or blue-gray spots or freckle-like spots. Melasma is caused by overproduction of the cells that determine the color of your skin.”
The Only murders in the building star has embraced her natural beauty over the course of her career. she said in an earlier interview with Fashion that she sometimes gets “lazy” with her skin care routine.
“I notice when I get stressed or something, I break out more or get lazy with my routine, so I feel like it’s just become part of it. And I just deal with what I’m given that day,” she told the outlet in 2024 for the Beauty Secrets episode.
