Sentimental value star Renate Reinsve had to keep her sister in line at the Golden Globes.
Renate, originally from Norway, brought her sister as a plus one to the star-studded ceremony and had to stop her from touching Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Leonardo DiCaprio stepped on the train of my sister’s dress, he smiled at her and apologized,” Renate – who plays actress Nora Borg in the multi-award winning Norwegian film – said The times.
“She lives deep in the Norwegian countryside, she had never been to anything like this in her life, and she had a very deep impulse to touch him. I had to stand between them and say, ‘Please don’t do it, be cool. Go away!'”
She gushed, “We had so much fun that night, we got so drunk!”
Renate was nominated in the Best Actress category at both the BAFTAs and the Golden Globes, but lost out Hamnetby Jessie Buckley. She is also in the running for the Oscar for Best Actress.
At the BAFTAs it was Renate who stepped on someone’s dress and had to apologize. When the actress walked past CBBC star Mia McKenna-Bruce (28), who was being interviewed by the press on the red carpet, she accidentally stepped on her dress.
Renate quickly apologized and Mia said, “No, you’re fine, it’s fine. It takes up a lot of space.’
“You look great,” Renate said.
