Shakira has received support from her fans after a disturbing incident during one of her recent concerts.
During the When Wherever singer’s recent Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, she faced harassment from a man while interacting with fans mid-show.
In the video shared online, Shakira is seen singing and engaging with the crowd when a man forcibly grabs her shoulder and kisses her face.
Shakira was left shocked and handled the moment professionally by leaving the spot immediately.
However, the Waka Waka hitmaker’s fans remained furious and expressed their anger online.
One user wrote on Instagram: “I think it’s disrespectful to the artist. Because of people like that, artists have to be surrounded by bodyguards.”
Another added: “Seems like a lack of respect to the artist to me, for people like that artists should be surrounded by bodyguards.”
“When artists limit themselves to having contact with the audience, they kill it, but they see how far the disrespect goes,” the third comment read. Another user also commented: “The same thing would happen to anyone.”
