Sigourney Weaver has revealed she once wrote a five-page love letter to John Lennon.
The 76-year-old American actress recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her newly released film Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
For those who don’t know, Weaver plays Kiri, the daughter of Dr.’s Na’vi avatar. Grace Augustine, who was adopted by Jake and Neytiri in Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
During the questionnaire portion of the show, she talked about her love for The Beatles.
The Ghostbusters The star didn’t stop there as she walked down her memory lane and confessed that she loves the rock band, especially Lennon.
Weaver also said that she once poured her heart into writing a multi-page letter for Lennon.
She recalled: “I think I was too shy, but I went away – again for John Lennon – I wrote a multi-page letter on lavender stationery with purple ink, [which began] ‘Dear Jan…’
“It was about five pages front and back. And I folded it. I put an envelope in it and dropped it off at the restaurant I heard he was going to,” the man said. Copy the actress shared it and then covered her face with her hands out of shame.
However, Weaver has forgotten what she wrote in that letter, but she wishes it wouldn’t reach him.
“I hope they threw it away,” she said.
