Sombr has a new friend in the music industry, and it’s none other than Taylor Swift, who recently showed public appreciation for his music.
The 20-year-old singer took to TikTok and shared a video of himself gushing over the 35-year-old pop superstar, who he has admired since childhood.
The back to friends hitmaker was lip-syncing to a trending audio and wrote, “when someone asks if I’m a real Swiftie but Taylor herself gave me this necklace” over the clip.
In response on TikTok, fans flocked to the comments with one text: “we love sombr!”
While another joked, “Lmao her scream kinda broke him,” referring to Swift naming him as one of her favorite singers in a recent interview.
Some investigators on social media accused the we never dated singer for “chasing power,” as they wrote: “First a nepo baby for his event producer father… Now riding on the coattails of TS…”
Another echoed, “Not that he’s using Taylor to cleanse his image now that he’s being canceled,” as Sombr is currently facing controversy after a fan drew attention to alleged strange behavior during his concert.
This isn’t the first time Sombr has spoken about the fourteen-time Grammy winner on his social media; he also recently shared a video showing a handwritten letter she sent him.
“I love Taylor Swift forever, it’s the most beautiful message I’ve ever read,” he said of the note.
