Source reveals reason Tiger Woods keeps driving himself despite DUI trouble and past car crashes

Source reveals why Tiger Woods continues to drive despite drunk driving issues and previous car accidents

Tiger Woods is reportedly choosing not to hire a driver despite his recent DUI arrest. As far as he is concerned, privacy issues weigh more heavily.

The claim came from an insider who said the 50-year-old golfer prefers to keep his personal life under tight control and does not want anyone monitoring his every move.

Woods “doesn’t want anyone watching over him or knowing what he’s doing,” the source said People. “And he thinks he can drive just fine.”

Woods was arrested on March 27 after a rollover accident near Jupiter Island, Florida. He was charged with driving under the influence causing property damage and refusing a urine test.

Authorities said he showed signs of impairment, although a breath test later came back negative for alcohol. The golfer was released about eight hours later after posting bail.

The source added that Woods tends to avoid public attention and spends most of his time at home with his children or focusing on golf.

“He is not a social butterfly and prefers to hang out with his kids around the house, hitting balls or playing video games,” the source said. “He despises public scrutiny.”

The incident adds to a history of driving-related problems and arrests. Woods was once seriously injured in a car accident in Los Angeles in 2021 and was previously involved in an accident in 2009.

In 2017, he was arrested for driving under the influence and later pleaded guilty to reckless driving, saying the situation was caused by a reaction to prescription medications.
