Stephen Colbert shares raw feelings as ‘The Late Show’ enters its final months

Stephen Colbert gets honest about the end of The late showwhich will only last a few months.

During the upcoming episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, Colbert revealed his emotions as his own late night talk show was set to end in four months.

“It feels real now,” Colbert told Seth Meyers in a teaser clip on the show’s Instagram account. “It didn’t feel… I mean, I know it was real, but now there’s four months left.”

He then explained to Meyers that he enjoys doing the show with his program’s collaborator, as some colleagues have been associated with him since the beginning of his career.

“Listen, you can do comedy in a lot of different places, [but] there’s no place like the Ed Sullivan Theater,” Colbert said, referring to the set where his show is filmed. ‘But it’s really the people. That’s really what matters to me. That’s really what I’m going to miss more than anything.”

If Term The late night talk show’s final show will reportedly air on Thursday, May 21.

He announced the show’s ending news during a July 17 episode.

“Before we get into the show, I want you to know something I found out last night: Next year will be our last season. The network will end The Late Show in May,” Colbert said during his opening monologue.
