Nina Lin, a notable content creator and influencer on TikTok and Twitch, is in hot water for the Streamer Awards.
Lin has been the focus of major backlash due to a serious incident.
Recently, a viral clip surfaced showing Lin and another creator, Zoe Spencer, being banned from Twitch for their alleged misconduct towards FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said.
The footage, which circulated on X (formerly Twitter) on October 23, 2025, sparked outrage in the gaming world and sparked a renewed debate about responsibility and double standards on streaming platforms.
After the accusation, Lin appeared in a live broadcast together with Wendy Ortiz and two other creators.
While discussing the upcoming industry events, Lin said, “Don’t think I’ll even go this year. With everything going on, there’s no way they’ll let me go.”
Her confession surprised Ortiz, who asked, “What? What does that mean?” Ortiz defended her friend Lin and pointed out the hypocrisy within the community, saying, “Oh, don’t you know how many guys and streamers say homophobic sh-t, they’ve done so much shit, and they still leave?”
Another streamer on the call added, “They probably just bash you more because you’re a girl.” Lin agreed, saying, “They do. You know what, it’s because they don’t like outspoken girls.”
