YouTube and Fox van Alphabet said on Thursday that they have reached an agreement that keeps Fox News, Fox Sports and other FOX channels available for YouTube TV subscribers.
The companies did not disclose the financial conditions of the agreement.
Earlier this week, YouTube had been in negotiations with Fox, where the media company asked for payments above those received by partners who provide comparable content.
On Wednesday, Youtube said it had reached a short -term agreement with Fox that would buy time for the parties to reach a new distribution agreement.
In February, YouTube TV reached a deal with media giant Paramount Global to keep channels such as CBS, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon available, after failed negotiations for a new contract briefly left the future of streaming partnership in Limbo.
The coach conflict caught the attention of Brendan Carr, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, who said that the company Fox channels from YouTube TV would be “a terrible result”.
“Millions of Americans trust YouTube to resolve this dispute so that they can continue to view the news and the sports they want – including this week’s big game: Texas @ Ohio State,” Carr on Tuesday at the social media platform X. “Leave a deal for Google!”
