Sydney Sweeney is setting the record straight about the rumors that she has had plastic surgery.
In a recent interview with Varietythe 28-year-old actress made it clear that she hasn’t gone under the knife — or even thought about it.
“I’ve never gotten anything done,” Sweeney said. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing.”
The Euphoria star said she plans to embrace aging naturally.
“I’m going to age gracefully,” she added.
While she takes the speculation to heart, Sweeney admits that some online chatter about her appearance makes her laugh.
“It’s really funny. I see things online like ‘comparison photos.’ I thought, ‘I’m 12 in that picture,'” she explained.
“Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.”
This weekend, Sweeney turned heads with a bold new hairstyle, debuting a sleek bob at the AFI screening of her new film Christy in Los Angeles.
According to her hairstylist Glen “Coco” Oropeza, achieving her fresh blonde hue was no easy task; the process reportedly lasted an entire week.
The event also marked an emotional milestone for Sweeney, who recently revealed she is just days away from completing Euphoria Season 3.
“I’m wrapping Euphoria in two days,” she said Variety‘s Marc Malkin at the AFI Fest premiere.
Returning to the HBO series after a three-year hiatus was a nostalgic experience for the actress, who first joined the cast at the age of 20.
“It’s mostly the same crew, so it feels like I’m going home to family,” she said. “I grew up with them. I was 20 when I did the pilot, so it feels very reassuring to see a lot of the same people.”
Although HBO has confirmed that the upcoming season will be Euphoria‘s latest, Sweeney remained silent on any chance of a continuation.
“I can’t confirm any information,” she said with a smile, leaving fans wondering what’s next for the hit show — and for her.
