Taylor Momsen Gets Honest About Reuniting With ‘Grinch’ Co-Star Jim Carrey After 25 Years

Taylor Momsen reflects on her reunion with her How the Grinch Stole Christmas co-star Jim Carrey.

For those who don’t know, the 32-year-old American singer-songwriter and guitarist was five years old when she played the role of Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 comedy film opposite Carrey’s Grinch.

On Friday, December 5, Momsen spoke with PEOPLE magazine at iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball, where she opened up about reuniting with the 63-year-old Canadian-American actor and comedian at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 8, 2025.

During the ceremony she performed with Sound Garden after The mask star introduced the band.

I think about her meeting Carrey, the Gossip girl star said: “The whole experience was absolutely crazy, kismet, universally aligned, mind-blowing and amazing.”

“Just seeing him again was the best thing that could have happened. The crazy thing is that he was the same man. Like, I didn’t know what to expect because it’s been 25 years,” Momsen noted.

“When we actually saw each other and hugged each other and, you know, embraced, it was an overwhelming, overwhelming warm feeling of ‘I know you like that.’ He felt like home to me, that’s what I keep saying, and it’s just the most accurate way to describe it. It was great,” he said Hansel and Gretel alum remembered.
