According to insiders, Taylor Swift is eager to bring her love story to the big screen.
The Opal crooner is trying to make a movie inspired by her relationship with fiancé Travis Kelce, just like she did with her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Interestingly, details of the project, which will be a modern version of Romeo & Juliet, are being kept under wraps.
“Her relationship with Travis has fueled much of her recent work, but what fans have seen so far is just a fraction of that,” the insider said.
The source revealed that Taylor has been secretly writing short stories and screenplays, and “one of them was inspired by their relationship.”
“Taylor has talked about using Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet as her creative guide,” an insider noted.
Another source said Radaronline that the script will “take a lot of cues from the singer’s relationship with Travis – it won’t be a biopic, but her real life will certainly shape it”.
However, an insider noted that Taylor is trying to keep everything “strictly confidential until everything is complete and ready for production.
It is pertinent to mention that Taylor’s romance with NFL star has already been the subject of her latest creative output for the big screen.
“Taylor is always guarded with her creative work, but this project has an extra layer of secrecy because it’s uncharted territory for her. She’s meticulous by nature – songwriting comes instinctively to her, but screenwriting is a whole new craft,” an insider explains.
While talking about the release date, the Cruel summer singer has not revealed the details of her project, mainly because she wants it to be flawless before sharing it with the world.
“Once she’s happy, she’ll dive right in and is already considering taking on a role herself,” said an insider.
Meanwhile, Taylor has already made her acting debut in CSI in 2009 and as far as Travis is concerned, it is still uncertain.
“They both know the risks of balancing work and private life. But Taylor doesn’t do things by halves,” concluded an insider.
