Taylor Swift has made her mark in songwriting and is widely recognized for her nearly two-decade legacy.
The 35-year-old pop superstar is now the number one female songwriter of the 21st century, according to a new list compiled by Billboard.
The fate of Ophelia hitmaker was recently nominated to the Songwriters Hall of Fame for the 2026 ceremony, and Swifties weren’t surprised by the new milestone.
The fans took to social media and celebrated the achievement, while also criticizing the outlet for ranking other male musicians above Swift, who ranked at No. 4.
“DRAKE?? A BETTER WRITER THAN TAYLOR??! HUHHHHHHHH,” one
A third said: ‘I can’t believe we’re even debating this when she literally wrote folklore And forever in quarantine while everyone else was making sourdough bread. The woman has single-handedly destroyed more men’s reputations through three-minute songs than most people accomplish in their entire career.”
One stated, “From heartbreaking anthems to stadium bangers, Taylor’s pen has shaped the soundtrack of the century,” and “That’s huge, but honestly not surprised at all. Her catalog runs so deep; I’d say, “All too good‘ alone is a strong argument.’
The 14-time Grammy winner has not yet responded to the news.
