Taylor Swift may have been on stage during the Eras Tour, but she still knew what was happening in the audience when her insider informant, Travis Kelce, debriefed her on the way home.
The 35-year-old pop superstar shared one of the “crazy” stories the NFL star, 36, told her in the car after a show with several A-listers including Hugh Grant, Ashton Kutcher, Greta Gerwig and Tom Cruise.
During the Anti-hero hitmaker’s recent performance on Late Night with Seth MeyersOn Wednesday, October 8, Swift shared a misunderstanding Kelce had, which turned into a funny story that they look back on.
The 14-time Grammy winner said the Kansas City Chiefs tight end planned to tell Gerwig, his favorite director, that he loves her work.
The star athlete eventually said so, but not to the Barbie director, but instead Grant’s wife, whom he thought was Gerwig.
Swift hilariously revealed that Kelce joked, “I’m just Ken,” while talking to Anna Eberstein, who smiled politely at the misunderstanding.
The The fate of Ophelia singer went on to say that her fiancé only recognized Gerwig after the show, despite having danced with her several times during the concert.
Swift was surprised to hear Kelce mention that Gerwig and Grant had danced together all night and had inside jokes, speculating that they might make a movie together.
The Eras Tour artist recalled saying, “The tea is crazy tonight, Travis.”
However, a few minutes later she cleared up the confusion after showing him videos of him and the real Gerwig hanging out.
