Dana Eden, producer of the Apple TV+ series Tehran busy filming season four, died in Greece. She was 52.
However, her abrupt death leads to social media rumors of foul play, given the spy nature of the show. But the makers behind the show immediately released a statement to clear up the speculations.
“The production company would like to make it clear that the rumors indicating a criminal or nationally motivated death are untrue and completely unfounded,” Shula and Donna Productions said.
Kan, the Israeli public broadcaster, which is co-producer Tehranshares a statement about Eden’s death.
“We are saddened by the passing of our friend and partner in a long line of productions, series and programs at the Israel Broadcasting Corporation – Dana Eden. Dana was among the leading figures in the Israeli television industry and was a central figure in the creation and direction of some of the company’s most prominent and influential productions.”
In the meantime, filming continues That of Tehran season four is underway in Greece.
“Tehran follows the adventures of a Mossad agent, Tamar (played by Niv Sultan), as she tries to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb,” according to the series’ logline.
