Teyana Taylor’s children are not easily impressed by her clothes.
Teyana’s daughters, Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr., 10, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 5, consider themselves her “biggest fashion critics” and “co-stylists.”
“I don’t leave the house without their permission, [for them] to say, ‘Okay girl,’ said the One battle after another star.
She told me too Entertainment tonight that her daughters teach her how to “serve face.”
Teyana has received nominations at both the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globes for her role as Perfidia One battle after another with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Before the critically acclaimed film, the actress appeared in Ryan Murphy’s Everything is fair with Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts. However, that project did not go down well with critics and received a dismal 6% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The actress previously spoke about making the transition from music to acting after her second daughter was born.
“My routine is different, my hustle is different. Like, I don’t play with you guys, my tolerance is different, what I’m willing to take and what I’m not willing to take – you know what I mean?” she said. “Motherhood has made me focus more on the other things I love to do and help other people.”
